APA report on gun violence
In February 2013, the American Psychological Association (APA) commissioned a task force to review the available scientific research on the precursors of gun violence and how such violence can be reduced in the United States. The task force's report, released in December, offers a comprehensive view of strategies and policies that have proven effective in predicting and preventing gun violence.
