Mental health care in correctional facilities examined at national conference

The National Conference on Correctional Health Care is slated for Oct. 26-30 in Nashville, Tenn.

The National Conference on Correctional Health Care will help educate those who provide care to the millions of adult and juvenile patients who pass through the U.S. correctional system each year. Sponsored by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care, the five-day meeting will include a number of scheduled events (PDF, 1.9MB) and offers the first opportunity to earn a new specialty certification for mental health professionals in corrections, the CCHP-MH.

APA is represented on the board of directors of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and has supported the organization’s activities for years. Visit the conference website for more information and to register to attend.
