The HIV Office for Psychology (HOPE) Program received a 3-year contract for infusion funding totaling $338,618 from SAMHSA/CMHS

This additional funding will address HIV/AIDS prevention and the mental health needs surrounding prevention, testing, test outcomes, and the implications of HIV. APA’s Hope Program will work with 11 health departments across the U.S. to deliver training to the broad scope of mental health providers. These health departments are in the cities with the highest prevalence of HIV and are part of the “12 Cities Project” (PDF, 428KB) of the National AIDS Strategy unveiled by the White House in July 2010.

The infusion funding is considered a contract modification and runs concurrent with our base contract. The contract ends September 29, 2014.
