Aging, with Grace
With the world’s population is living longer than ever before, psychologists are facing new challenges and opportunities. To meet these challenges, mental health professionals will need to develop greater awareness, understanding and appreciation of gerontology. In this article, found in the November APA Monitor on Psychology, two goals will be accomplished. First goal is to identify how the significant change in demographics affecting the United States is similarly affecting the world. The second is to discuss the relationship between life satisfaction, depression and old age.
Part of the APA Monitor's CE Corner article series.
