APA’s 2013-2014 Executive Branch Science Fellow to spend year at Department of Justice

Barbara Oudekerk is a community psychologist with a research focus on adolescence.

APA’s Science Directorate is pleased to announce its selection of Barbara Oudekerk as the incoming 2013-2014 APA Executive Branch Science Fellow. Oudekerk is a community psychologist who completed both her doctorate and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia, where her research has focused on examining adolescent risk behaviors, romantic relationships and pathways into and out of the justice system. She will spend her fellowship year in the Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice. In addition, she will join APA’s two congressional fellows in the year-long Washington, D.C.-based mentorship program that APA runs under the umbrella of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
