Psychology Summer Institute Fellows go to Capitol Hill for the Minority Fellowship Program

On July 12, 2012, APA’s Public Interest Government Relations Office (PI-GRO) hosted a federal advocacy training and Capitol Hill Day for the participants of the Minority Fellowship Program’s (MFP) Psychology Summer Institute. The training focused on the basics of advocacy, effectively communicating with policymakers and an in-depth briefing on MFP; it was followed by Capitol Hill visits to the fellows’ members of Congress to urge their continued support for MFP.
