ED GRO Supports Partnerships for Achieving Student Success Act

By Alexandra Ginsberg

On May 7, 2013, Congresswoman Judy Chu, D-Calif., introduced the Partnerships for Achieving Student Success (PASS) Act (H.R. 1854).

In collaboration with the National Association of School Psychologists, APA's Education Government Relations staff worked very closely with Rep. Chu's staff in the development of this legislation, which would provide incentives to recruit and retain school counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, and other psychologists qualified to work in schools to low-income local educational agencies.

Alexandra Ginsberg is the legislative assistant in APA's Education Government Relations Office.
