The APA Grants for International Psychologists and Psychology Students to Attend the APA Annual Convention will provide up to $500 to be applied toward costs related to the APA convention (e.g., travel expenses or registration fees). This award is for psychologists and psychology students living and based at an institution outside the U.S. and Canada.
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are psychologists and psychology students who are currently living and based at an institution outside the U.S. and Canada. American psychologists living or working outside the U.S. and Canada are not eligible. Applications will be reviewed by a committee, and preference will be given according to the following criteria:

The applicant:

  • Is in a developing or low income country.

  • Is participating in the convention program.

  • Has a funding match (full or partial) from an APA division.

  • Has not attended an APA convention in the last two years.

  • Is an APA international affiliate, international member or international APAGS member.

  • Note from Division indicating match, if applicable.

  • Copy of convention presentation information, if applicable (submission or notice of acceptance).

  • Letter from work/study institution indicating support for your attendance and need for funds.
